I’ve recently started using Notational Velocity (free) on my Mac to take notes in class, manage tasks, and keep track of my schedule. NV is great because it’s incredibly simple to use. The interface consists of a single window with a search field on top, a list of notes in the middle, and a body text field underneath. Evernote versus Simplenote
I’m torn.
I’ve been using Evernote for nearly two years, although much more heavily in the last four months. I’ve quickly come to rely on Evernote for most of my note-taking, research, organization and documenting my class observations.
Along comes Simplenote, free for iPad and iPhone. Integrates with geek favorite note-taking software for the Mac such as Notational Velocity....
EasyTaskPad and EasyTask
Yesterday I downloaded and installed EasyTask for iPhone and EasyTaskPad for iPad. Both are free, no frills GTD-based task managers. The only problem was that the iPad version lacked a feature already implemented in the more mature iPhone version: online syncing.
